The driving test for an automatic car is the same a one for a manual car. After you pass a theory test you can book and take this practical car test.
Our team of automatic driving instructors are very experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to all aspects of the driving test. They know what the examiners are looking for an the marking system. They can prepare you properly for passing the driving test in Leeds using an automatic car first time.
What the driving test covers
Currently, the normal driving test lasts for about 40 minutes. It also contains the following :
- An eyesight check
- ‘Tell me’ question before the drive
- ‘Show me’ question whilst driving
- An exercise which involves reversing
- Independent driving
A DVSA driving examiner will assess and mark your performance on test. Driving faults are marked as minor, serious or dangerous. To pass candidates must not exceed 15 minor faults whilst avoiding making any serious or dangerous faults. Also, too many of the same kind of minor fault can eventually result in a serious fault.
Preparing for the driving test
The vast majority of people who pass the driving test have had professional tuition from an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). To get pupils ready to take a test we carry out a series of mock tests. We structured automatic car tuition and tips from a local instructor we can help you to look forward to passing on the day.
